When people slaughter animals to appease their gods, I always wonder, “Why that type of animal?” You never hear about killing eggplants to satisfy a god, or sacrificing zucchinis to ensure a bountiful harvest the next season. And I wonder if the more difficult to kill something the more pleased your god would be? If you found the most difficult to hunt and rare species and killed it for god ensuring its extinction, would he be extra pleased or furious? Only one way to find out I guess.
Freethunk Admin: As I recall, God was not pleased with Cain’s offering of fruits & veggies which is why Cain got jealous and killed Abel. God loves a good, bloody sacrifice because he is a God of peace…uh, yeah.
