I know there are a lot of freethinking fans of The Lord of the Rings so I think this is a great game to post on Freethunk. This is a fan tribute. Your Gandalf and you have to battle your way through Middle Earth using magic.
I'm admittedly a Lord of the Rings fan too, though I'm hardly an expert on Middle Earth like some Freethinkers I've come across. I've read The Hobbit and The Fellowship of The Ring and part of Two Towers until I got interrupted with work. Over the holidays I usually try to watch Fellowship of the Ring in it's uncut version.
Just like Tolkien himself, I prefer Middle Earth to Narnia. C.S. Lewis is too overbearing with his obvious analogies and confusing mixture of Greek mythology--which were supposed to ignore that people once believed in as real-- and Christianity which we're suppose to accept as truth and not fantasy. The juxtaposition of Christian themes alongside Greek creature myths has some irony to it. Even more irony comes about when some Christians get all upset about Harry Potter and then applaud Chronicles of Narnia.
